    I have a Macbook pro, 15" and have a problem that has been happening on and on and now I'm tired of buying new batteries. This is what happens;

    Simply put, once the battery drains to 0% and the computer shuts down, it will not recharge. The power plug LED stays green and will not turn orange to indicate that its charging. This has happened with 2 other batteries now and I can't figure out why it keeps happening. Please tell me theres a simple solution to this!

    Are you using the power supply that came with your Mac?

    If I use a smaller power supply from a Macbook book on a Macbook pro it will not charge sometimes but only manages to run the Macbook.

    There are 2 voltages on the power supplies. Maybe your power supply has problems switching between the two. Lower voltage (I think 12V) is green light and higher (19V??) is orange.

    If you shut your Macbook it charges your battery as long as the computer is off?

    There could be something wrong with the power adapter.. or the charging circuitry on the logic board in the Macbook Pro.
