Macbook air 11.6 keeps giving me this error message: The disk was not ejected properly and disconnects my flash drive or external harddrive. I have to keep reconnecting the drive and try to transfer the files over as fast as possible before I get the same error message and disconnects itself.

Are my drivers no to update? I have no problems using my flash drives and external harddrive on my PC.

have you tried the other USB port? could be a physical problem with the port.

are these USB powered drives? sounds like they may be ejecting cuz of a lack of power. I do not know if MBA USB are lower power ports or not.

Are you running them through any type of USB hub, or just directly plugged in? Sometimes hubs cause issues.

After testing the left side usb port, it seems to work fine. However, the right side usb port is giving me the same error.

I will call Apple tomorrow and see what they can do for me. Though, i live 2 hrs away from the nearest apple store and I need my macbook for school work. Would they be able to give me a replacement while they work on my macbook air?

    A bit conflicting, no?

Apple does not provide "loaners". If you bought the machine from the store you're going back to, they may just outright replace it but only they can tell you that.
