Hi, I am thinking about selling my santa rosa macbook 2.0 and getting a new 45nm updated MBP. My main problem is x3100 =( I am perfectly happy with x3100 in 10.5, but I have to do some DirectX stuff in vista and I must say it's not working well![]()
Condition is A+ (some minor scratches on the bottom surface - but I guess you can't avoid it), nice apple sac pouch, mini-dvi-connector, 4gb of ram, 160gb 7200 hdd. It's a 2.0gz Santa rosa (bought in the mid November), comes with 10.5.
If I were to ebay/sell it, how much should I ask for? I think it cost me around 1.75k, or close to that (taxes, RAM, HDD) - I am in Canada.
Thanks in advance,
rad

That's a pretty powerful MacBook...considering all those upgrades and such, I'd say you could get it out for about $1600-1700.

Thanks Sam! I guess I'll aim for 1600+.
-
That's about right... although I think 1500+ may be more reasonable.

1. To go down to the US physically and buy it.
2. To buy from the online US store, therefore requiring a US address to ship to, and then getting it remailed to Canada.
Both are quite hasslesome, and so many Canadian's don't bother. -
Well to drive down to US.. costs as much as the actual price difference, if not more.
And if you order online from US, you still have to pay import taxes.
So indeed, in the end it's not worth it. -

Wow, you Apple guys are crazy.
He paid $1750 brand new for it and you think someone is going to pay $1700 used for it?
Anyone who does it a complete tool.
