Do you folks think apple will drop the prices of their macbook's tomorrow considering intel's new price scheme of core duos?
I don't think they have dropped the price yet if anybody thinks so because the difference in price between 13.3" macbook 2 ghz core duo and 1.83 ghz is about 200 dollars (difference in price between intel 2 ghz and 1.83 is about 129 dollars) + u get dvd+rw etc...

Seeing how they dropped the price on the MacBook Pro and replaced the processor with a faster one, I am almost certain Apple already gets the Core Duo at a discounted price. However, it would certainly be nice if the price dropped, not that you aren't already getting a great bargain with the MacBook :)

As Pressure said, I think they already built in the price drop when they released the Macbook and upped the Macbook Pro specs. Plus Apple rarely lowers prices, they usually just up specs, and as it stands the Macbook and Pro are only differentiated by a video card and the ability to get a 2.16.

**EDIT** Although, the reason for Intels price drop is the 2.33 Core Duo. So I suppose Apple may up the Macbook Pro specs to 2.16 and 2.33 and then up the Macbook. I kinda doubt that though, I think the 2.33 will be an option like the 2.16 was.
