By the way, does this generation have issue with the screen ghosting? There was a discussion about apple notebook screens being subpar, but I forget which generation of macbook/macbook pro.

I grabbed a brand new one from Best Buy the other day for $1060, out the door (sales tax holiday this weekend)
But yes, Apple just recently updated their refurb section, and they have some great deals now. (Rev. B MacBook Air for $1099) -
Oh how fast the prices have dropped. Thankfully I sold mine before the update.
-
That's why I don't like buying things new-
What's the difference between the one you sold and the new one? Which rev is yours? -
All three of those are good deals. Having said that, I personally wouldn't pay an extra $150 to go from 1.6 to 1.86 GHz on the MacBook Air (the 1.6 is only $1099).
I bought the 3rd one you listed- the 15 inch MacBook Pro with the 9600M GT. I'd say if you can spring for the extra $300 over the MacBook, that would definitely be the best bang for the buck. Having just upgraded from the regular MacBook to the MacBook Pro, I can definitely say I'm impressed. -
Excellent choice-- Maybe I'll wait until you decide to sell that one , too!
Whoa, you grabbed the MBP 15" for $1060? -
I owned the 2.4 MBP (rev. A) (same one blabus purchased). The differences between that unit and the current ones are - the processor, express card slot was replaced with a SD slot, and the built in battery.

Yep- tip for whenever you're in Best Buy (assuming it has an Apple section): you know how there are little price tag cards sitting on the table next to the computers? There should be more than one in the stack (kind of like a Rolodex). Flip through them, and you might find deals for older models, or open box models.
And also, Sponsi did a great job with the differences- the ones he listed are the only main ones. Personally, I actually prefer the ExpressCard slot over the SD slot, as it offers more options (including a flush-set SD card reader
).

Looks like I'm gonna pay BB a visit!
