hey guys, what is the exact speed of the macbook pro 2.8 processor? on the website it says 2.8 but I read in a few different sources that it is 2.88, is that true?

if it is then I am guessing there is no point whatsoever to spend $300 and get 180 extra MHz, unless you are floating in money, am i correct?

    thank you very much

Also the 2.8 has a TDP of 25watt, and the 3.06 is 35w, meaning the 3.06 will be hotter and use more battery. Even if they were the same price, I'd still prefer the 2.8 as its practically the same speed, but much more power efficient.

EDIT: acually I looked it up and the T9600 is 35watt, nvm for some reason I thought it was 25watt
    The 2.8 is a T9600, 2800Mhz, 6mb l2, 1066mt/s FSB, 35watt
    The 3.06 is a T9900, 3066Mhz, 6mb l2, 1066mt/s FSB, 35watt
not worth it in my opinion, barely a difference. Tho the 3.06 is slightly better. However it is worth it if you want to make sure you have the fastest macbook, at least for a couple months.
