I opened my Macbook this morning and the mouse clicker feels all mushy now. It doesn't have that "click" feel to it anymore.

edit: It seems to work better now after mashing the button about 50 times. It's strange how this could happen just overnight. I still get this feeling that it still doesn't click like it used to. I'm probably just paranoid now.

Keep an eye on it; if you continue to have problems, it's probably worth having Apple fix (might be that part of the mousebutton mechanism is failing somehow or something).

Do you press the button towards the top or the bottom of the clicker? I noticed it's a lot crisper if you click on the bottom. It feels a little rigid and mushy at the top.

Since your clickey button rest thinger sits right on the battery, check the inside surface of the battery and how it's positioned. And what M@lew said.
