Well I sold my sony vaio pcgk315m. and was in the hunt for something new, before i found this place I ordered a sony vaio N series laptop, well why not? the one I had worked for me, so I thought I would be safe with another. It arrived got it out of the box, it looked good but had a cheap feel to it, started it up and was unimpressed with the sound, build quality, so back it went, and I found this place.
Done some research and was lead to believe that ASUS was the biz and all that went with it, so opted for an F3JP, this was it, this was the one! It wasnt! it arrived I was unimpressed with the old looking style of the laptop, the sound was just as bad the battery was very poor (1 hour15m) it also got very very hot and so did the power adapter, after a few days I had to send it off for refund.
Back to square one, I was reading through various posts telling people that sound in laptops is generally tinny because of the size of space that the speakers need to be located, I knew this not to be the case as the sony i just sold had great sound- for a laptop.
what was I going to do now I asked? I had a look at this apple forum and was impressed by all the comments apple was getting, I wasnt sure whether I could work with a mac as I have had pc's since forever but the more I looked at them the more I wanted one, MacBook Pro, the price was a lot more than those other ones I had tried but it kinda got a grip of me and I had to have one.
I had received a voucher for 10% off anything from a store like amazon a few days previous and I couldnt think of a better item to use it than on a MAC BOOK PRO 2.2 order placed, couldnt wait for it.
To say I was impressed was an understatement, everything about it is top quality, battery lasts, sound is good, temperature is good, fan noise is non existent, top quality. so theres me looking through the hardware profiler, looking to see what my money had bought me, heres the BONUS, they had just gone and sent me the 2.4 with the 160g hardrive and the upgraded graphics card, awesome. I havent put this baby down since I got it, just amazing, so I would say for any thinking of doing it, DONT think, just DO you wont regret it.

BMWROB- thanks man, loving it, so much so that I uninstalled bootcamp for the time being, no more windows on this baby ( for now )
hey Peachy, we dont get any deals over here like a free this or that, there are some great deals offered to the american market for student discounts.

Having a great time finding out what this Mac does, I have got to say that it is just amazing, doesnt heat up much, the keyboard knows when it is dark and lights up!!! dvd drive is cool.

    will keep exploring.
