So I have my school email forwarding to my gmail and I'm using Mail app to check my gmail. My question is, how do I respond to an email directed to my school email using my school email's address while doing it in Mail app and within the gmail box. I know I can do this if I actually use the gmail webmail, but I was just wondering if anyone knows how to do this from the Mail app.

    Thanks!

not sure then... under to and CC and BCC mine has a "From" box that i can choose an account from a drop down...

did you set up your school account on Mail? to send it from there it would have to know the schools mail server and stuff.

Try this and see if it works.

Click the "new message" button. In the drop down menu box (on the left side close to "Subject" line) to show CC, BCC, etc, select "Customize". There should be a box that shows your smtp accounts; click on the box next to it; that should make the smtp servers list available every time you send a message. If you have more than 1 set up, then you have the option of using one or the other.
