    Welcome!

Perhaps you should start out by describing what you plan to do with a MacBook?

Hey Jake80, welcome to the forums.

You may have some questions about Macs before planning to switch, so I do suggest you read the Common Switcher Questions section of the Mac Switcher's Guide, and maybe even the Choosing a Mac section.

If you decide to choose a MacBook, I strongly advise you to wait until October to purchase it. Mac OS X Leopard, the next version of OS X, is being released then and I suggest you wait until it is released to purchase your MacBook so it comes pre-installed. Also, there is a possibility that the MacBook gets a hardware update in October (Santa Rosa and possibly LED-backlit screens), so you will want to take advantage of that as well.

I shall check thouse guides out, i dont really know how i missed the 'Mac Switchers Guide' as it is RIGHT there.

Also to 'Sam' - that, i did not know, about Leopard coming out in October - i'll definatly hold it off a bit then!

    Anyway, yeah - thanks! :)
