    The matte display option is available today for 15" MBP on the Apple site.

    hmmm,if it is real and not some sort of error, then it is quite strong move from apple! What upsets me is their "Add 50$"...

    Well it's for real that's for sure. It's on US, UK and all European Apple sites.

    It's kind of strange that with the glass layer is more expensive than without. But I guess it's a special option that people are willing to pay more for.

    Damn. Is it possible for owners of the unibody macbook pro 15 to go into the apple store and replace their glare screen with matte for extra 50?

    I'm not so much concerned with the finish as with the resolution. I really wish Apple would offer a 1680x1050 screen for the 15" MBP.

    Now this is an interesting development. The thing I never liked about those new macbooks is the ultra glossy screen. And the 17 inch which already had the anti-glare option was too expensive, but the now the 15 inch might just become my new notebook. I'll wait for one more hardware rivision though, because they might add blu-ray
