Nice mockup of MBP 2008.

 

Whoa, that's pretty good! I could something like that...

 

I like it except for the keyboard. I really don't like the macbook keyboard, and I love my MBP keyboard. I'll be very sad if they put that crappy keyboard into my beloved.

I'm the opposite of you . I've tried both keyboards, and I really like the MacBook keyboard, both in design and feel. With backlighting, its even better, of course.

 

I definitely agree with Sam. I find that the MBP's 'touch' was too soft. I like how the MB keyboard "clicks" when you type down on it.

 

that looks pretty excellent actually, I would be very happy to see this design actually surface, although it looks as though they just started photoshoping a MacBook Air, as the screen bezel is pretty think.

I am a fan of both keyboards but I have to go for the MacBook Style keyboard simply because I really love using my aluminum apple keyboard.

 

I just dont like like the color of the keyboard. IMO silver/white laptop with black keys just doesnt look good. If the case was black, then it'd be a different story.

 

I agree with that. I would have preferred white keys over black keys. It reminds me of the old Dell Inspirons.

 

Yeah, that is definitely a Macbook Air screen no doubt. The photoshopper must have missed that... :/

 

Add me to the pile of people who would buy that as soon as it's available.

Well, in the mockup there's also no latch on the lid of the MBP . So its a half-half...not magnetic, not a latch .

 

So it just hangs open? lol.

 

Where's the power button?

That's another thing I don't see how people like on the Macbook(along with the keyboard). I like the secureness of that click, and pushing the button starts the whole sequence of waking up from sleep.

Just one of those things you learn to like when you use it all the time I guess.

 

No I dont think so. Look at the overhang out the back. The screen on the Air has more hang then that one.

But I really don't mind this design, really...that could be the MBP redesign so it keeps many of its current design elements but still has some changes.

 

It would be nice to have a choice between what keyboard you want. Have it customizable. A Macbook keyboard or a mbp keyboard. Now the color is a different story, I doubt they'd be able/want to have the color be a choice. I dont like the black/silver...

I would love to see a new MBP merged with the multitouch trackpad, the new MBA backlit keyboard, and a GeForce 9600 series graphics card. Give me that and a nice glossy screen, and I'm ready to put down my $$$$!

Oh, and a no-latch magnetic lid closure please.

 

Next Mac notebook will be so thin, that it's invisible. Just trust Jobs that it's actually there and pony up the 3 grand.
