    Sorry if repost, but this offer seems pretty good and is only for today.

    Microsoft has $100 rebate for Office 2004 if purchased 23 November at US authorised retailer. That's about $50 for student edition at retail (although can be found cheaper). Also upgradable to Office 2008 for about $6.99.

    Confirm details yourself though.

    Mac users have the option to run Windows and I was just throwing the link out there for whoever might be interested and not know about the deal. :rolleyes:

    Probably the big thing there is, at these prices, a Mac user (or a college using one, in terms of getting that Ultimate Steal deal as well) could fairly easily afford to buy both the Mac and Windows versions of Office, a copy of XP and Parallels or VMware Fusion to be covered across all bases.

    While I'm not oblivious to the fact that Mac users can run Windows as well as Office 2007 under Windows, the fact of the matter is that your "deal" only works for college students with a college e-mail address, while this deal has no such limitations and is therefore more widely available, other than being for the Mac-only version. And this being in the Mac forum, should hint to something...

    Please read my previous post... I linked to the other topic for people to be aware of the deal. Yes, you must be a student to get the deal. Yes, it's the Windows version of the deal. It's still a great deal and worth mentioning in case someone's interested. There's really no point to drag this out anymore...

    That's also a nice deal (and was already mentioned in the original post). It's an awesome price to upgrade from the 2004 to the 2008 version of Office.

    No mention of a copy of Office 2004 could be had for $124.99 - $100 MIR. I just happened to find this gem while looking for prices on refurbished MacBooks.
