I've actually got another question and it pertains to getting Word on the Mac.

The cheapest i could find it is for $125+ on a few websites, and my god is that expensive for a single program.

Is there a place where i can get it for cheaper? i looked all over the web but perhaps i'm just E-tarded...

I'm pretty sure the $129 is for a suite of Apps. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Entourage.

In addition to OpenOffice and NeoOffice there is Apple's iWork and a few others like Nisus Writer and Mellel.

Personally, I hate Office:08 for the Mac. The only reason I have it is for compatibility reasons and even then Microsoft can't get that right.

$125? I believe its about $150 for Microsoft Office for Mac 2008: Student/Home Edition, which comes with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and I think something else, as Robgunn said.

Something to consider when you look at the price of software: what is the cost of use over the course of a year? If you only use word once during that time, then it cost you $125+ for a use. If, however, you're integrating word into your regular workflow and are using it on a regular basis (say 100 times/month) then after a year it cost you practically nothing per use, and was likely central in generating and maintaining other revenue (present or future) streams.

The new Office is nicer than its previous iteration, but still isn't there in terms of the MS Office 2007 (for PC) interface.
