Anyone had a problem with the Mac OS where when they move between apps by clicking on them they don't respond until you do something like hit the max button?
For example I might be typing in skype and switch to warcraft. Warcraft comes to the front and all looks good - but as far as the Mac OS is concerned I'm still in skype.
Mild annoyance but it makes swapping between apps that little bit more frustrating?

I've never experienced something like that. Sorry! Try updating the software?
-
you are saying, when you click an App in the dock, it doesn't switch to it completely? with its title now in the menu bar? it definitely should.
-
sadly not. It's better when I click in the dock though. The problem is far more noticeable if I click on the window itself (as I was used to with windows OS). So at the moment I'm typing in safari and have photoshop open in the background. I click on photoshop in the background and it comes to the fore obscuring safari. However the menu bar still claims I am in safari until I click again in photoshop.
Which seems odd. Minor but odd.
Oh - and the software all seems up to date

I've run into a similar problem. I think it's a glitch that hasn't been repaired yet, like that missing first letter when you type something.
Anyways, let's say I have a bunch of windows open. I want iTunes brought to the front so I'll click on it, and it'll bring it to the front, but another window/program will still be in front of iTunes. So I have to click on that window/program, than click on iTunes again and then iTunes will be in the front. Bugs are fun, aren't they? -
Heh - I'm sort of relieved to see it's not just me. Annoying isn't it?
-
hmm, I am not sure what could be causing that, you are running 10.5? it is most likely a third party app you have installed, but that should definitely not be happening.
good luck and let us know if you find a solution. if you have free time and a backup solution you could do a fresh install of OS X and see if that fixes the problem, the install the apps you need and each time check if it causes an issue.
it could also be a finder setting or some other system setting, but I have no clue what one. -
I've had he same problem. I have more memory on order and am hoping that will solve it. It seems to me that part of the problem is that applications and browsers don't play well together. I get a lot of browser crashes when using a stand alone app.
Minor annoyance
