help me!
I just just got a black macbook at the apple store NEW (NOT refurbished). Everything is A-OK until i get home and go online.
i realize someone was using my laptop! the following sites are in the address bar when i type a URL:
apple.com
wikipedia
flicker
craigslist
ebay
and a few others.
What is going on here? has this happened to anyone else? Or did i get a refurbished macbook pushed off as a new one?

Maybe it's from when Apple tested your notebook?

I assume you are using Safari 3.0? If so, it auto fills popular sites by default. Don't worry your blackbook is not used.

I have never seen that before, but i would take the Mac back and get your money back.

so this is normal?
alright, just was very worried!!!! -

It is completely normal. Don't worry. I believe it is the same on my Windows Safari.

stealthsniper96 What Was I Thinkin'?
yea they pre-load some sites on, most browsers do. dont worry

I agree... I have a new MacBook and Safari does autofill the sites. I typed in some of the same sites you have and it autofills...
Don't worry, your MacBook is new. -

If your MacBook was a refurb, it wouldn't have the fancy packaging.
My "new" black macbook has been used!!!
