This is a link to the electrical problem I keep mentioning around here. Is this enough to have it returned/replaced? It's really irritating!

Interesting. Maybe I have had that then. I just thought it was my forearm nerve going weird. It only seems to happen when mines on my glass table and my forearm is moving across it. It only happens above the dvd drive. Unsure if it happens when it's unplugged though.

Very interesting. I have never heard of this happening before -
Weird. I guess you are picking up electrostatic charge, which then is discharged via the metal finish of the macbook pro. If it is so, then it is not the notebook's fault. If is actually the notebook which is generating a discharge, then you may have a reason to return it, but it's pretty difficult to be certain.

Mine doesn't do that. But I got mine yesterday.

Yeah, again, I've only noticed this like, 3 times. Come to think of it though, I think I was also sitting on the floor.

Electrical Problem? hmm...how strong is the shock?
-
I have had it happen a few times.
-
using the three prong will ground it, getting rid of the shock problem.

I'll test again to see if I happened to be using the 2 head duckhead. I'm pretty sure I wasn't though. -
Myself and a fellow tech are experiencing the same issue. We both work for a large organization, which is 80% Mac. We recently received new MacBook Pros (dual platform administration from one laptop is so convenient).
The electrical shock seems to come from the front top edge of the laptop. I have used an AC plug tester to verify good grounding to my outlet, am utilizing the 3 prong adapter, and use wifi so I have no other physical connections to the laptop.
In the past I worked on arcade games, and have experienced identical (albeit more pronounced) shocking sensations when one of my units had faulty grounding. I experienced a wide variety of electrical shocks working on commercial electronics, they all have unique characteristics.
My voltmeter's battery is dead, but I'd put money on the metal frame not having continuity with the third prong on the adapter.
My MacBook Pro shocks me, literally!
