My Macbook Pro Battery does not seem to charge sometimes
Whenever I plug the charge cable I don't see the light that indicates that the battery is being charged. This happens sometimes.
If I check the battery icon it says : battery not charging, power sourceower adapter. I bought this Macbook pro 13" in 2011
brand new. What could be the cause?

What is the charge percent of the battery? (generally won't charge if it's at 95% or higher)

13" MBP has a 65 watt power adapter. If you are running a lot of things that are pulling a lot of power, it will pull so much power there is none left over to charge the battery. If you close whatever intensive apps or external things plugged in thats pulling all the power, the battery should start charging again.

It could also be that your power adapter is faulty. This happened to me not a long while ago. MY power adapter was starting to break and sometimes the green or orange light would not show up and sometimes even when plugged in it would say not charging. I had to get a new adapter and that fixed everything.

I think it's the adapter. I've had the same problem actually. I noticed that one of the 4 pins pulls a scared turtle (i.e. is recessed backwards and doesn't come out fully, causing the power adapter to not power the laptop). I haven't got apple to send me a new adapter yet, but I'm pretty confident that it'll fix the problem.
