Hi all,
I purchased a new MBA 11' from Macao last month and now the battery can be used for less that 2 hours when watching movies from internet. If no vedio(just surfing and documenting), it will last 3 hours.
Is my case common? Or my battery is problematic?
Thanks.

It does seem a little on the short side. But certain activities will really drain my Air battery quickly too.
Are these flash videos?
Flash has a reputation for being rather power intensive for certain uses.
To see if your battery is a problem, you might try and app called "Coconut Battery" to gauge its health. Also you might try doing your battery longevity testing using other activities not likely to use so much power. -

it could be very normal.
surfing the web doesn't mean the same thing for everyone.
if you browse sites with a lot of flash content, it could be 3 hours... and as far as watching movies from the internet, it depends on how you are doing it.
what's the method? youtube? netflix? -

MBA's battery is only for 4-5hours at 50% brightness and running only Safari on standard (non-flash) pages.
Flash, especially video, takes a lot of battery out of your system.
If you want to see whats up with your battery.
Goto the top right of screen, click apple.
Goto About this Mac
Click more info
Goto Power.
It should tell you everything about your battery. It does self test. However, if for whatever reason you feel like its still too short. Apple will run something called AST, which allows them to do a battery check.
My new mba's battery can live for less that 2 hours....
