Your Macbook Pro has an 8600m GT, not an 8800m GTX. You are using 1280x800, not 1280x900.

What drivers? What OS? What DVD software? You have left too much unanswered.

Yes please provide details. You've got an 8600M GT, on...Mac OS or Windows? What are you viewing? DVD? HD video?

I think he genuinely thinks he has a 8800, he may not understand he has a 8600M GT 512 MB, as featured on the MAC.com storefront. Moving on, under VLC, what are your video options?

I am pretty sure VLC does not come with any Mac os, you would have had to install it. Are you using the builtin DVD player? Or can you read VLC at the top of the video playing window? Because if you pop the dvd in and it pops up asking to play, it is more than likely builtin dvd player.

    Thread closed.

Tyronne has OSX installed on his M15x(look at his previous post) and now wants help to get it working correctly. NBR does not allow the discussion of this since he violated Apple's EULA.

If you see him asking questions about using OSX on his M15x after his two day ban, please report it.

If anything, this is to show why its not a good idea to run OS X on non-Apple hardware. Not only does it break the EULA, its not an easy task.

If you want to run OS X, buy a Mac. That's all there is to it.
