What's the best Apple app to check CPU temps on a Macbook? A free app, please.

Also, is is still possible to check the temps of the GPU even though it uses the Intel integrated GMA 950 chipset?

Yup - I use this, it's excellent. Can leave you feeling a little paranoid about running hot, though...

    Good luck!

Oh, and if you want to adjust fan speeds after you freak out over the temperatures (which aren't that bad by computer standards, but of course 50-60 C sounds scary), use SMCFanControl!

I prefer using SMCFanControl to monitor temperatures, as well. With iStat you have to open dashboard to check times, whereas with SMC it's right there on your menu bar all the time. That's the same reason I use amnesia to monitor CPU/RAM usage; I actually really dislike dashboard.
