I have been offered a 1st gen MacBookPro 2.16 GHZ, 15' screen with 100gb drive and 1 g of mem for $700.00. Has new X operating system, a 250 gb external Go drive, Office and other software with 2 months of Apple Care left. Should I do it or save longer for a new Macbook?

if it is a Core Duo model, and not a Core 2 Duo model.. i wouldn't buy it. The Core 1s are 32bit only, where Core 2s are 64bit... wont matter with the OS thats on it now, but in September when Snow Leopard is available, it'll run much better on 64bit machines.... which is probably why this person is selling them.
