Alright, I've recently switched to a Mac (about 6 months ago), and pretty much every application I've found that almost every app for the Mac is not only useful and intuitive, but the interfaces are drop dead gorgeous (I'm one of those graphic designer geeks). :)

So, I'd really like to get into OS X application development with Xcode, but I'm lost. I'm moderately skilled with developing for Windows using Visual Studio (visual basic), so I know the basic concepts of programming (although I'm still working to get obective-oriented programming through my head :) ).

Basically, I was just wondering how others have learned to develop for the Mac. The main problem I seem to be running into is having to learn so many different things- C, then Objective-C, then Cocoa, then Xcode... Are there any books or resources that combine several or all of these into one?

    Anyway, thanks for any help.

Well I have been messing around with Cocoa, and it's very intuitive, and very complicated for me. Xcode looks promising, but I have taken an interest into Cocoa. I'll try and look for that link where I found some useful resources.. ;)

I do low-level work on the Mac and I don't touch code at the interface level. My development and build environments are handled by technical staff. Can't help you on the interface stuff but I thought that I'd chime in given your recent comments.
