So I needed a laptop for Uni, as I enrolled last minute, so I had to order last minute, and didn't trust the warranty from any other companies (especially not Dell).

So I pulled the trigger on a refurb MBP with 9600 & 9400.

i was wondering what is the best sleeve for this notebook? Preferably one without a zipper so it won't scratch my new baby!

I know you said you prefer one without a zipper but I'm rocking the Incase one with a zipper and it's perfect. And no, it hasn't scratched my uMBP. Just take your time putting the notebook in the sleeve and you won't have a problem.

The popular incase ones have guards to prevent the aluminum from contacting the zipper. They are very padded but like the others here said, you have many options.

    Slightly off-topic & I apologize in advance.

Why don't you trust them? I mean a warranty is still a warranty & if the need arises that you've to make use of it, they'll have to honor your warranty & fix all legitimate issues. No?

Back to the topic of sleeves. I recommend one by WaterField. Check the following links:

Hey, just like the other owner said I also have the incase 15 inch sleeve. It works great and also you don't have to worry about scratching it because there is a strip of white that can be pulled over the macbook before zipping it up. I am VERY adamant about my macbookp so I'd be the last person to use the sleeve if it were to scratch. I really recommend buying the bestskinsever + the sleeve for the ultimate protection.

I've pulled the trigger on a foofbag. They have some awesome designs; if you're looking for something different to the usual solid black/white or whatever.
They also have some more conservative designs as well.

I'm looking for something that will cover the MBP completely. I took a look at Macsacs and I'm not liking the material, and with foofbag those are located in AUS while i'm in the arctic land of Canada :(

I personally like the look of these BooqBags - http://www.booqbags.com/ specifically the Taipan Skins, I think they're cool. I just received mine today :)
