I need some guidance on what I have to do to repair my disk.
In preparation to upgrade to Lion, I ran 'verify disk' in the disk utility and got the following message-
"Disk needs to be repaired. Start up computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disk), and then use disk utility to repair disk."
I didn't do the initial install but did receive 2 DVD disks - one labeled 'Mac OS X Install DVD' and the other labeled 'Applications Install DVD'. Although I assume I need to use the 'Mac OS X Install DVD' I'm not entirely certain. If this DVD is indeed the correct disk, what should I do if I get prompts concerning installing what's on the DVD?
Thanks

Thanks. The "disk utility' section in the link had the info I needed. My disk is now repaired and all is good with the world. Much appreciated. -
Cool! Glad it was able to work out for you
Hoping you won't have any more problems going forward!
