Ok so i'm living in a college dorm. I currently have a macbook pro. In order to get my internet to work i had to use a disc to install something that helped register my computer with my college's network. Now when i use my windows vista under paralles i cannot get my internet connection to work whatsoever. I don't know if there is a way because i would have to register 2 computers under my name. Although i did get my xbox llive to work , I'm not really sure how i woudl get my windows to work? Would it be possible?

By the way my connection is wired and whenever i go under windows connection settings it says its not getting a connection whatsoever.

Has anyone ever had this experience before or know a way to help me fix my problem??

Not sure if it'll fix the problem, but something like this happened to me last week.

I went into the parallel settings under "Network Adapter", and instead of the default "shared networking," I changed it manually to the adapter I was using under "bridged network." And voila, a restart later and I was online in Windows in parallels.

Yes i've already tried that. I even tried to install the disc when i was using windows but it says that my username is already registered to one computer here so i cannot register the windows internet. Ugh i just can't figure it out, i've been at it for like 2 hours now. There has to be a setting or something to change. Or if there is anyway i could make my college think that i'm using the mac's registration?

why don't you just ask your college IT people to help you. they're usually pretty helpful and can give you an easy solution. the ones at mine are at least.

Yeah, you're right. After using both I think vmware fusion is better too. There both pretty identical though.
