    I got me a 2010 MBP 13" for $700

    I got this

    Apple MacBook Pro 15.4" Laptop - MB470LL/A (October, 2008) | eBay

I would like to know if this is a good deal?

I should point that I went back and forth from buying an i5 or c2d, finally ended up with a c2d, and I'm super happy, its fast enough for me. I will upgrade when Apple make a radical change to the line up.. so my wife should be happy with a c2d, but I really want to know if this is a good macbook at a good price, as I have read the 9800 can cause problems?

Fantastic deal I used to have one as a matter a fact but I sold it cause I needed the money. I still miss it everyday but this 13inch MBP will suffice until the next refresh in design happens. As for issues with the 9600m I'm not to sure what issues people have been having. But personally I have never experienced any issues.

Sorry, but I would rather add the $400 and wait for the refresh in March/April.

I would have to go against the purchase of this macbook pro.

I'm already $300 over budget... :( $700 is to much? I mean I have the 13" 2010 MBP with the same CPU and I love it...

If the OP's budget does not permit spending $1100, then I don't see how this is a bad deal. Admittedly the hardware isn't the latest, but I doubt that the OP even holds that standard for $700.

    Just enjoy your new purchase.
