Does anyone know if the MBP with the i5, are running hotter with the new intel proceesors?

They shouldn't run any hotter than the Unibody Macbook Pro's. Both Core 2 Duo and the new i5/i7 are 35 watt ships, and the i5/i7 are more power efficient.

Passmark CPU Benchmark:
Current:
i7 620m @ 2.67GHz: 2735
i5 540M @ 2.53GHz: 2444
i5 520M @ 2.40GHz: 2346
Last gen:
C2D T9900 @ 3.06GHz: 2292
C2D T9600 @ 2.80GHz: 2009
C2D P8800 @ 2.66GHz: 1874
C2D P8700 @ 2.53GHz: 1798
C2D P7550 @ 2.26GHz: 1618
C2D P7570 @ 2.26GHz: 1592
Even the fastest last gen is slower than the slowest current gen. Like I said before, the i series is more power efficient thus longer battery life.
New I5 and I7 running hotter?
