    Another thing to consider is how the CPU factors into this equation. Yes, you can do GPU-intensive benchmarks, but you can't say that the CPU won't at least having some impact. The 5870M was often paired with first-generation Core i CPUs. Ivy Bridge is faster and more efficient.
