So I just got a new MBP in from work (well, I'll only have it for another two weeks before I leave). And man... can I tell ya... build quality is light years ahead of my MBP (CD version).
There is no weird space/gaps in the front of the chassis. As far as heat, it does run a bit cooler. I copied my World of Warcraft directory over to it (can't believe I can just copy the WoW folder, and not have to install it...) and had a friend playing on it while I played on mine. It does run a bit cooler (I had fan speeds at both set to 4k rpm) and it is more stable and smoother.
The keyboard even feels a tad bit different, but that may be because mine has been broken in. But it's also running 3 GB of ram compared to my 2 GB.

The screen is perfect. I can't tell if it's matte or glossy, but it is much more accurate and even than mine. I'm calling Apple tomorrow to send mine in to get the screen replaced now that I see how it's supposed to look.

Well, just wanted to let you guys know I've had a week to sit down and compare them side by side, and the new version is nice compared to CD version :-D
