Hello, I just bought a MBP 2.2 and its been giving me some issues. For some reason the chess always close with an error when I try to play with a different voice setting. The Iphoto also fails from time to time.

I would like to know how normal is that and if it's only a problem with the chess or the entire hardware because I am planning to use the MBP for video editing (Final Cut) and photography (photoshop CS3) and wouldn't like to spend lots of time editing, then getting a program shutdown and loose all my work.

I took it to apple store for the warranty, they reinstalled the leopard and the problem continued. I would like to know if should I ask for a new MBP, or if it is something normal and I should take my MBP back or my money back?

    Thanks for the help.

Doesn't really sound like a hardware issue, are there any updates out yet for leopard? I'm still on the previous and latest update before leopard and have not had any issues.

ps. have you installed any software on your own?

Try repairing Disk Permissions (go to Disk Utility (Spotlight it), select the hard drive and press Repair Disk Permissions), see if it helps. Thats not normal.

If you can, hold out for 10.5.2. It is supposed to be a major update, and will hopefully fix any stability issues.

definitely not a normal thing, I have no issues what so ever.

the things you mentioned are a little unclear, you said iPhoto will close from time to time, but there is most likely something causing it, do you have any third party software installed that you think could possibly cause a problem?
