    Hi, all.

I just bought the new 13" MBP.

I realize I will be switching to a much smaller HD in getting an SSD, but is the enhanced speed worth it?

Will I see a noticeable difference in booting applications and in basic activities (saving files, etc.)?

Also, will Apple reinstall OSX and all the trimmings on my new SSD?

    Thank you.

if you want an SSD, order it without and do the swap yourself, you can get faster drives for less cost that way.
amd yes a good SSD will drastically improve your speed in opening apps and reading/writing files

If I had the money, and didn't need the space... I'd have a SSD in a second. I don't fancy running dual drives, and I already have over 300gb of stuff... but if you can survive with a small drive, they are really great.

Defintely, the SSD is worth it.
Before having my Intel X25 G2, I thought that SSD is overprice and I will not ever go with SSD.
However, 3 weeks ago, I found an excellent deal on my ssd that I couldn't resit. Therefore, I went and try on with the SSD. So far, I love it. All of my programs are open instantly without any delay, much lower wait time. And I love it when I transfer files between my data HDD and USB external, I can do whatever I want with my SSD while these 2 are workings.
Once you go SSD, you never go back :)

If you have the cash go for it! Way better than regular hard drives. Everything should be faster.
