Starting off, really Apple? You couldn't have included the Ethernet adapter with the MacBook? Nickel and dime shenanigans IMO.
On to some questions...
I picked up the Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter over the weekend and am having some problems with it.
Regardless of the port I attach it to, I am having to reboot OSX to get it recognized. Same problem in Boot Camp with Windows 7 x64. It works fine after rebooting, but doing this EVERY time is silly.
I'm basically new to OSX, so perhaps I'm going something wrong. Anybody else seeing this? Am I dumb?

might be a bug with the new adapter... but in Windows via Bootcamp, I don't think anything works in the TB ports hot plugged, you always have to reboot.

If this is the case in OSX and with the DVI monitor thunderbolt adapters as well, I think my choice of keeping the MBP is being made for me.
The Windows part I get. I don't like it, but I get it. It not working is OSX is a problem. -

I've since switched to shutting down my laptops when I'm not using it anyways, damn thing boots up only a few seconds slower than waking from sleep mode.
This is the 2011 MBA 13" and the Thunderbolt Display. -
Maybe sleep will be more useful when power nap is released?
