lol thats more a prank than virus, but wait until I try it on a friends unibody 17'...
-
See I don't think it will even work. OS X does not allow auto run with USB. And even if it did, you would then need to type in your pass.
-
Would be cool if this was an application that you could use whenever you wanted.
Question is, only iPhones have accelerometers, so how do they get the gravity job done? -

Apparently MBs have them as well. -
All Mac Notebooks have had accelerometers since 2006ish. They are used to stop the hard drive if it detects a drop.
-
Oh wow, I didn't know that. That's pretty darn cool.
EDIT: Don't know if people have seen this before, but this looks both similar and cool.

Yeah there are lots of programs that use the accelerometers in the Macs.
-
I didn't think there are viruses for Mac OS. Macs aren't immune but they are less targeted. The only protection I use is a firewall (Protemac Netmine) and still I'm safe.
-
this not a proper virus,just a prank
-
Now I see, lol
Thank you -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
obviously someone when out of their way to make this.
its not like you couldn't make a virus if you didn't want to. -
This is the only virus but there are tons of trojans for mac you get when you download dubious programs/pirated software. This is just a play virus and I think it wouldn't work on newer macs cus of autorun

masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
i'm skeptical that this even does what it says it does.
or maybe we will get a software update tomorrow specifically to prevent this kind of software. who knows.
but yes, this appears to just be a harmless prank toy.
trojans exist for all operating systems. if you go out of your way to find software from a shady source, and then specifically give it the keys to your machine by giving it administrator rights (typing in your password), you are at its mercy.
