Okay well i would like to get the full 4 gigs of ram in my macbook. I am probably gonna buy it from newegg.com. Which specific products to you guys recommend? Which ones are you using right now? Any links or suggestions would be helpful.

Get whatever RAM fits the spec for your machine and comes with lifetime warranty. I went thru OWC and got my RAM, got their branded one, with lifetime warranty. I've seen many people recommend Crucial, Kingston, and G-Skill

Also, not usre how the MacBook is set up, but check to see if they gave you a single 2GB stick of RAM, or two 1GB sticks.

Kingston is a great brand of ram to buy. I've never had a problem with their products.

Yea, it'll show 4 gigs. And your laptop has 2x 1gb sticks.

I know its like $200. I would rather not lol. But my dad said that kingston was good. Many reviewers from new egg put it in their macbook. So i am gonna probably get that one. any objections.

Oh and would my applecare be affected. Like would it void my warranty.

ram is considered user replaceable. if there are any effects that are caused by the ram or damage to the ram itself, applecare will not cover it since it's not OEM. Someone please clarify this.
