I just checked out crucial's page, and they list the new macbook models, but say they only support up to 4GB RAM. Could that be correct?![]()
I'm not sure which nvidia chipset they're using (though I know it's due to be officially released tomorrow), but I'd think supporting only 4GB is severely limiting it's potential, especially when intel's and amd's latest notebook platforms support up to 8GB.

Can anyone confirm if this is true?

I just think that no matter the company, supporting only 4GB is antiquated, while everyone else (all of 2 manufacturer's
) support 8GB.
Plus, I'm thinking in the way of how future proof it would be. 4GB is pretty good now, but no doubt in just a few years or so, 8GB will be standard. I think it would be something anyone should consider if considering a new macbook, or any computer for that matter. -

someone should check the nvidia chipset specs, oh, it was just released, today.
I would assume it can handle 8gb, as it competes with Intels in basically every other aspect.
New macbooks support only up to 4GB RAM????
