Dear All,
I just made the switch to the Mac world.. so I'm new here.. I bought the new mid 2012 MBP 15", but not the Retina..
I installed Windows7 x64 via bootcamp, and I need some answers to the following:
1. I noticed that only nVIDIA driver is installed... what about the Intel HD4000?
2. Is it possible to shrink the windows "bootcamp" partition via Windows Disk Management and create new partitions form within the same without causing problems to the "Macintosh HD" or the dual boot setup?
Appreciate the help..

the HD4000 is disabled in windows
I think you can partition the disk before installing windows with drive options I don't know in windows you may need another software like partition magic or some like that
this may help you https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3538021?start=0&tstart=0 -

For example I have 3 partitions in this mbp that I have:
Windows
OSX
Files
To make that possible I needed to remove the recovery partition, you can do that in terminal, its simple enough, after you go for the bootcamp app, before you install windows, boot into OSX and make another partition there. I used exFAT so that I can read and write in both OSes.
Thats the only way I know.
For shrinking windows, you could try via the management app. Simply right click in my computer and click management. in there go to the disk management and shrink the partition. Sometimes it allows you to shrink it, otherwise you are going to need to download another software for that, partition manager is a good option, since its gui based. -

I don't recommend removing the recovery partition unless you upgraded to Lion/Mountain Lion and were able to burn an OS DVD. Otherwise, if your system came pre-installed with Lion/ML, you have no other way to reformat the system and fix OS problems without going through the recovery partition. I don't know if Lion/ML put the recovery partition back on after a fresh boot. If it does, your worries have been reduced. If it doesn't, that recovery partition is lost forever (and you don't have the OS DVDs, keep in mind that the iLife programs are NOT on the OS DVD) and I don't recommend removing it.

I do have a thumbdrive with lion on it, as well a copy in the NAS, aside that I have a SL install disk. For users with just lion and ML its recommended for you to download either from the app store and put it into a dvd or thumb drive. I shouldve make that clear.
And yes lion puts back the recovery partition after a clean install, I dont know about ML, it should be the same.
I find it annoying that the iLife programs aint included in the app store for your download pleasure, they come already installed and that space is kind of precious to me, since I only have the SSD for storage. Not that I use any of them, they only take unnecessary space, but thats valid for me, not for a lot of people. -

For anyone else experiencing this, go into the App Store, sign in with your Apple ID, and select the "Store" menu. Then choose "View My Account (your e-mail address)." Sign in again, then look at the second section, which says "iTunes in the Cloud." Click on "View Hidden Purchases" and unhide the iLife apps. After that, you're good to download and reinstall to your heart's content.
