Does anyone think that having to pay $19 for the remote that was included in previous Macbooks and Macbook Pros a bad move for Apple?

Yeah. But OTOH, it's only $19. and it's not incredibly useful until Front Row is useful.
I mean, why would I bother going through front row to play vids or music when I lose complete functionality of my laptop?! Let us freaking use it on a 2nd screen without having our primary go black. -
I dont even use the one that came with mine , not a big deal imo
-
This is likely a case where Apple asked if people were using the remote and most said no. I used mine a fair amount before my Apple TV, now I never use it.
-
I'm okay with them removing the remote from the default configuration, but I would've liked to see the price drop $19 then, too...
-
Its kinda useful in itunes, and other things, but yea like most people i dont really use mine that much.
Not really missing out on anything. -
I think I've used my remote once on the day I bought it. Ever since then it's just been sitting on my desk, begging to be touched.
-
I've seen them used most often when giving presentations. Outside of that, I'm uncertain that they have a significant use.
-
Only reason I use mine with my MBP is when I set up iAlertU to mess around with people when they're at my house. Its funny as hell when I tell them "Yes, you can use my laptop" and then an alarm goes off and the screen flashes as soon as they begin to type
-
Also useful if you use your laptop as an alarm clock and keep it far from your bed. Can just use the remote to snooze it instead of slapping the keyboard.
-
I definitely think it was Apple cheaping out by not including the remote. I actually quite like mine for presentations and for play/pause/forward etc music across the room from the system.
-
I think Apple should have kept it bundled...Front Row's kinda silly without it. I don't use Front Row that much anyway though.
No Remote included for New Macbook and Macbook Pro.
