Just curious what kind of notebook sleeves you all are using (for those of you that use them) on your 15.4" MBP. I purchased a ZeroShock III 15.4" Widescreen sleeve but it's too big for the MBP making it a very tight fit in my backpack. I love the ZeroShock sleeves for their shock protection (although I'm not sure how well they work, can't be any worse than some of those paper thin sleeves), but the size is killing me. ;)

Basically what I'm looking for is something that will fit the exact dimensions of the 15.4" MBP, and offer some sort of protection. I carry it in my backpack and what I'm more worried about is protection on the sides since in case someone picks up my backpack and sets it down not so gently (hell I've had people throw my backpack but luckily I never had a notebook in there).

Edit: Here's a few I'm finding on Ebay. If anyone has used any of these, let me know.

That defeats the whole point of the sleeve. If the MBP has room to shift in the sleeve, then it's hitting the walls of the sleeve haphazardly, which definitely can be bad (especially as some sleeves can be quite hard).

I personally use the tombihn Brain Cell (4X). It's not pretty and stylish compared to the Waterfield sleeves, but since I won't ever be using it alone outside of a backpack and since it works so well with the Brain Bag, I have no regrets.

Ah the Waterfield Sleeves look like they might be a winner for me, especially since you can get them with a vertical orientation. That way I could just open my bag and pull the notebook out and keep the sleeve in the bag (yeah I know, I'm lazy). ;) Thanks for the info.

I change between the STM Glove and the Crumpler School Hymn. The STM glove is very tight, hence the name glove, and it fits well if you want to store your laptop in another bag.

I have the Crumpler School Hymn and an iSkin SOHO. Both work well but I will say I like the SOHO better between the two.

We really need to sticky a list of sleeves and bags (and other shells, palm rest protectors, screen protectors, and other maintenance stuff) somewhere here just for the MB and MBP :p

    Hey! :p

Maybe you can write it ;), I don't pay much attention to sleeves or bags...not much interest in them since I already got one :D. We'll have to ask cashmonee if he wants/willing to sticky another thread onto the Apple forum.

I ended up ordering a Waterfield sleeve with a vertical orientation and no flap. ;) That way it will fit right in my backpack and I can keep the sleeve in there. All the reviews I've read on Waterfield is that their stuff is top notch, so guess I'll find out in a few days!
