I guess Leopard to Snow Leopard wont be anything big like Tiger to Leopard but it will still be pretty big I think because of how it will make use of the 64Bit structure.

OpenCL is going to be great...

Snow Leopard is somewhere between a service pack and a new OS, more on the service pack side.
So it cannot be compared to Windows 7 price wise, as Windows 7 is a new OS. -
-
What exactly makes W7 "new"? What exactly makes Snow Leopard a service pack? I look forward to what you have to say because I could use a laugh or two today. -
Just like how Leopard, Tiger, Panther, etc. have all been OS's in their respected right.
-
Windows 2000 was version 5 of the NT kernel and XP was version 5.1 so does that make Windows XP a service pack of Windows 2000?
-
I thought windows 7 was MS DOS V 6

Snow Leopard is an update to Leopard, otherwise it wouldn't be called Snow Leopard.
Windows 7 is a new release. -
Why do they call it Windows 7 anyway? It isn't the 7th version, 7th update maybe. -
-
Sorry I couldn't help myself.

Dude I'm not gonna argue with someone who has a signature like that. Obviously it won't ever go anywhere.
I've used both platforms just as much as the other and I still stand by my statement. Obviously you will stand by yours too. -
You can believe whatever you want, and twist words how you want, think of it as a downgrade if you want, could go with that too.. cuz leopards live in warmer clients and snow is cold!

$29? Very nice. What I find most interesting is the reduced footprint, as this would make for easier installation on... certain hard-drive size limited hardware. Good stuff.
OMG!!! Snow Leopard upgrade in Sept. for $29 family pack for $49
