    hi guys
i just bought a brand new macbookpro for chrissie and only just installed osx leopard off of the cd provided by apple. before installing my computer slept like a rock, as soon as the lid closed it was lights out so to speak. since installing it has grown some bad habbits, when opened after being sent to sleep it has difficulty waking, i can hear the organs purring, but it dosent present the louder burr these computers make upon starting and the screen remains black. what do i do?

    thanks for your help -liam2051-

Whoa, when I read the title, I thought you were sleeping with OS X Leopard, and now it won't get out of bed... Lol...

And who moved this to the Windows Forums?

they did it just to show that mac does have a small amount of problems. :p

but anyway, look around in some settings, maybe try adjusting the screen brightness, and move around the mouse/ trackpad. i had that problem sometimes with tiger, but not leopard, and sometimes the only way i could get it was to close the lid for a few seconds then re-open it.

Do you have iStat Pro on your dashboard? I had the same problem, and ever since removing iStat Pro I have never had a sleep issue.

arquis your a genius it seems leopard dosent like being monitored by istat, shame to cause istat is a pretty useful tool.

as for moving this thread i dunno who did it? but i like the comment above "maybe they moved it just to show that macs do have little problems, the area i placed this thread in was titled windows and os software.. notice its dominated by windows users :) (i wonder why) lol

thanks for all the help in this forum and to anyone with this problem or the problem of a twitchy mouse or trackpad remove istat

A moderator did it for you, I don't know who. Anyway, whenever you have Mac OS X-related questions, ask here, instead of Windows OS and Software, as that's for Windows-related questions. Thanks :).
