    Hello peeps,

I have been an avid gamer and have been using various pc's in my gaming history. I have allways seen pc's as being the gods of all computers and have only ever bothered to use windows and linux builds. Yesterday I was awstrucken by what my parents had given me for christmas, the new god of the computer world, a macbook pro :) I have been using it visously during the last few hours, trying to scrutinize my new macbook pro to my previously owned desktop pc's, but I find no fault that makes me want any other notebook! The sheer briliance of the macbook pro's leaves me admiring everything from the solidly built chasis to the possiblly the best notebook lcd quality i have ever seen. The spec's of my new macbook are in my sig and I have to say that it has been a smooth and happy transistion from my amd64 x2 4400+, 1gb crossair, 2x 7800gt's and 2x 36gb's raptors in raid0. I am extriemly impressed to what the macbook pro is capable of and think it is as good as, or even better than medium to high range desktops. Srry for making this long, but I just wanted to share with you all the impression my new macbook pro has left on me and it has also made me turn from pc's to mac :)

EDIT: Added sig info (srry my mistake :) )

It's a pretty good notebook for what you want I suppose. There are better options available and coming out, though.

Congrats on the great present! :)

Haha. Welcome to the club. I got mine for my birthday since I needed a Mac for school. Used to always use PCs and just love the MBP now. Great that it's powerful enough to play current gen games, so I won't be needing a 360 anymore :)
