I just don't get it. Why do they still only put one button on the mouse.

Two buttons and a scroll button is absolutely necesarry, once you've tried it. A couple of go back and forth buttons also makes mousing more efficient.

Why can't Apple get away from that one-button mouse. They make such nice computers, but that is just ridiculous.

Do you mean on the notebooks or just the mouse??

if its on the notebook i;ve no idea why but you can do the scrooling feature on the ibook and powerbook

As for the mouse device itself

i think Apple kinda realised that coz there is already one, it's called the Mighty Mouse looks like one button mouse but infact it is a multibutton mouse achieved by using the touch sense and it does also have a roller ball for scrolling

I mean both laptop and desktop. On a desktop it is easy to go buy another mouse ofcourse, but still, you already wasted the money on the one-button stoneage mouse that it came with.

On a laptop it's even worse, even though you are able to change it on some, you still wasted extra money then.

The mighty mouse doesn't seem cool to me.

I don't know why it's still being mentioned. We all know that one button mouse is lacking, but it's mentioned again and again in threads like these and "PC vs. Mac" threads.

If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you bought it, compromise. Complaining here will not help either of us. I know u're speaking out your opinion but it's just so repetitive.

You should email Apple and have them read it.

I agree, since I don't like it, I could just stay away from it. It's just that besides that, they make such nice computers and equipment, so it's hard to stay away! :)

If I could get a apple laptop than ran windows and had a trackpad with two buttons, I would defenately get it.
