Hi, I just picked up a new updated macbook with stock 1 gig. Could anyone point me to a good online place in Canada to buy 4 gigs of RAM (and actually advise me on RAM brand too)
Thanks in advance,
rad

Sam and numerous other NBR members are from Canada. I'm sure they will be able to offer suggestions. In the meantime here is a thread on this very topic: n00b question on memory for macs.

Thanks Xander.

You're welcome.
Also, there is really no such thing as "Mac Memory" anymore. What you need is 200-Pin PC2-5300 DDR2 667MHz RAM. I try to stay away from "Value" RAM and prefer Crucial as a brand. Corsair and Kingston are also reputable brand names. -
whats going on with GEIL why are they so spendy?? no reviewers. and the one I found is probably from GEIL themselves.

Just ordered 4 gig ocz from ncix. Relatively cheap. Will see how that works out.

Try ncix.com, it's really good or atic

A bit late now, but good places to get RAM in Canada are NCIX.com and TigerDirect.ca.
And yes, Newegg doesn't ship to Canada. NCIX and TigerDirect are good, but Newegg is still cheaper in some areas, so it sucks that Canadians can't get Newegg.

A couple of websites I look at for online shopping are:
Infonec
DirectCanada
TigerDirect
NCIX
And if you know the exact memory you want, then you can have a look at Shopbot to see where you might be able to get the best price. -
Theres also Canada Computers which usually has good prices.
