If I order on the phone, would they let me use multiple payment methods? Also, would they still let me do an engraving on an iPod Touch?

    Thanks!

i wouldnt see why they wouldnt let you do multiple payments over the phone (like 2 different credit cards), and yes, you can still do engraving as well

I find it's a lot better to order over the phone. You get to talk to somebody, and if anything goes wrong they'll be more likely to help you out(they get commission when you purchase over the phone so they appreciate your business).

Definitely worth the extra 10 minutes when buying something big, in my opinion.

Thanks for the help guys. Any chance they'll offer extra discounts over the phone too? I'm thinking of getting the basic MBP, the iPod Touch (free with ed. discount after rebate), a printer (free after rebate), and a Time Capsule.

The extra payment methods will help a lot, I can spread it across several low-limit cards. :p

Agreed, ordering over the phone with Apple has always been better for me. Somehow my order seems to arrive quicker. I've never known Apple to negotiate or offer better deals due to the amount of purchase or multiple item purchases.
However I got free Applecare on my new 24" iMac and I didn't even ask for it and sometimes when the order gets delayed the agent you order from will either up your shipping to overnight N/C or throw in a free ram upgrade so I would highly recommend ordering over the phone.

I doubt you'll be able to get any discounts. Like hldan said, though, you may be able to get a bump up on shipping or a free small upgrade if you make your case that you're spending a lot of money and could really use it :p.

shipping is free with orders over 50 dollars.. regardless if you order on the phone or on the apple website. i think the point that was trying to be made was a bump up on the delivery time.. like the free ground shipping compared to the 2nd day air or something like that
