I'm new to Mac and have had trouble finding this answer here or elsewhere... I just received my MBP today and am wondering if I should use Outlook (as a part of Office 2011) or the standard Mac Mail app.
I am coming from Windows, but don't care about learning curves and am perfectly willing to import my PSTs, if needed.
I won't be receiving email via Exchange on this machine; I plan to use VPN and remote desktop to connect to my corporate network.
I don't care about syncing Google mail or calendars; my primary account is POP3.
I do have an iPhone and need to sync calendar and contacts.
Any thoughts?

using Mail, Address Book, and iCal.. all synced easily to my iPhone, has worked great for me.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
You can sync mail and calendars to iPhone directly through Google (instructions on their site) or using BusySync or BusyCal (@ Busymac.com).

Outlook seemed large and clunky compared to Mail. I prefer to stick with Mail since everything works nicely with my iPhone etc. I also find it very simple to use and get along with. -
Is MacMail the same mail program that is used on the iPhone? Or is it different?
Outlook or Mac Mail
