Well I guess i should start off that I'am new here, i'm a computer game dork but for the most part play on premade systems

    now for the mac issue

My sister recently gave me her PowerBook G4 17 inch moniter and the moniter randomly turns on and off, I honestly just tapped it and it turned on and, now i'm looking to be able to fix this issue, I was wondering if anyone could lead me in the right direction, also i'm missing the X and |\ button any place where I can order new ones of those, or is this all stuff i should just go to the mac store for?

    thanks for any help guys!

I don't think you could get individual keys, but you can get a whole keyboard. As for the screen it sounds like one of a couple things, either a loose connection or the ribbon that goes to the screen is breaking, which will happen after a lot of use. The other thing could be that the backlight is dying. If it is under warranty still, take it in obviously. If not, and you are comfortable with computers take her apart and see if it's just a small connection issue. www.ifixit.com has guides on how to take them apart. If you aren't comfortable with that then you could try going to Apple and have them diagnose it, but they will charge a ton to fix the screen. TechRestore found here:

will do overnight screen repair. I would call them and tell them the issue see if they have any ideas. HTH!
