I have a new MBP. If I purchase Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac with the USB cable, I understand it will move my Windows Vista operating system to the MBP.

Will I still be able to use the computer I migrated off of (Dell m1530 XPS) or will I need to get a new OS for it?

Will Microsoft let me copy Windows to my MBP and keep it on my Dell?

    Thanks!!

You will be able to use your old machine. However, you will not legally be able to do so. Your license is for one machine and one only.

OK, what do I have to do to legally use both machines?

Do I have to purchase a complete new OS from Microsoft, or can I get a reduced price "license" to use my old computer.

    Thanks for your help!!

technically you are supposed to get a full retail copy of windows to install .... but if you can get an OEM copy Microsoft is happy enough
getting a " recuced " licence key can sometimes be problematic as many have been activated and you may have to call in and try to convince them to activate it
