I am pretty new at this partitioning thing and only plan on putting windows on for gaming....I will only be putting games Empire, Medivial 2, Rome, Total War and Age of Empire III on it along with a virus scan for potential online problems with online gaming w/ these titles.

How much HD space should I dedicate to windows with this being the direction I am taking?

    P.S. I have just bought the Macbook 2.0 Aluminum w/ 4GB upgrade

Depending on which Windows. I've put all three on my MBP (XP, Vista and 7 beta) and there's quite a significant difference in clean-install footprint for each.

XP Pro took less than 4GB. Vista Ultimate took almost 14-15GB and 7b was somewhere in between (around 9-10GB). Then you add what you think is sufficient for all other apps/games and then add an amount for free space. I'd say go for 30-40GB; it should be more than enough for most users.

I would recommend more than 32GB on there, because I have COD: WaW, BF2, QOS, and Sniper Art of victory on there with only 1.6GB of space left. I'd really be comfortable around 45-50, but even that is squeezing it if you plan to do more than just a few games.

EDIT: ATC beat me to it... :p

If you're putting Vista, I recommend a 60gb partition. That way, you can put all your games on there and have enough play-room in case you want to put documents, etc. on there.

I would say that would be a good amount since it's XP

Yeah, I'd say that's good. You should have just the right amount for games and mabye a few other stray files. ;)

I've partitioned @ 50 GB using XP --- I wanted to make sure I had enough windows storage for my estimating programs as well as accounting. This way I don't have to go back later and re-partition.

Seems most people partition @ about this size (some smaller, some larger)

If I could find a viable Mac software for an estimating solution ---- I'd be soooooo gone from windows
