Are there any good programs for Mac OS X that can remove passwords/internet history? Also, if I'm using Mozilla Firefox, are the cookies also stored on Mac as they do on Windows? And is there a more secure way of removing them using any recommended programs?

To remove passwords as in the account password to OS X or passwords saved onto the Keychain and in Firefox?

If you use Camino or Safari, then internet website passwords will be stored in the Keychain. Search up Keychain and you can disable/delete those passwords. Firefox uses a different password storage method; check the Firefox preferences for more info.

Yeah, I know of those methods. I was wondering if there were programs offered for Mac that have a more secure method of such deletion. I know of a few Windows applications which can do so, but not so sure with the Mac.

Reinstall OS X :p? But other than that I don't know of any applications that do this that I can recommend. Good luck finding one :)!

Also, you can just use Spotlight to find Cookies.

Yeah, I was planning on purchasing Leopard when it arrives and reinstalling the OS.

Also, I have a Seagate FreeAgent 500GB External HD and wanted to split the HD so let's say 80GB can be used compatible with Mac. At the moment, I can only transfer data off the HD and cannot put any on while in Mac. I noticed Disk Utility has an option to format a particular partition in my external HD. Which format do you recommend the most?

I believe the format has to been FAT, not NTFS, if u want to write files on Mac. Read it somewhere.

    Yeah...I know...

I was asking about the Disk Utility provided in Mac and whether or not it can partition a specific part of my NTFS external HD to be compatible with Mac.
